Overview
A full website redesign for University of Calabar Teaching Hospital reimagining how patients, students, and researchers interact with one of Nigeria's major medical institutions online.
Problem
A teaching hospital serves wildly different audiences at once patients needing urgent care, families searching for the right specialist, and students looking into nursing or research programs. The site needed to handle life-or-death urgency and long-term institutional trust in the same breath, without either drowning the other out.
Solution
Built a clear information hierarchy anchored by an always-visible emergency line and appointment booking, paired with a browsable directory of specialties, doctors, and facilities. Layered in patient testimonials and infrastructure highlights (like the hospital's MRI capabilities) to build credibility, while keeping navigation simple enough for a stressed visitor to find help fast.
